Painting space for Artists opens in The Castle Mall

The HARE & beauty makeover begins!

The painting space has opened in the Castle Mall for some of the artists to get started on their hare designs. The shop space will not be open every day, but will give the public the opportunity to pop by and see the progress being made. The hares are located on Level 1 at the bottom of the escalators.

The Castle Mall who are a sponsor of their own hare have provided the working space for which Break are really grateful, and as the Christmas period gets busier the team are expecting a lot of people to pop down and take a look at the progress and find out more about the trail. Gemma Hyde from the Castle Mall said ‘the space has only been open a day and already the personalities of the hares are taking shape. We are very excited about this project and encourage people to take a look when they are in’.

Artists Mark Hiblen, Rob Barnes and ERM CIC, Tim Edwards & Fiona Muller will be sharing the working times but the unit should be open Monday to Friday 9.30 – 2.30pm, and on Sunday 19th, 26th November and 3rd December.

New to the trail this year is artist Rob Barnes who is using the space for painting two hares said ‘I was encouraged to submit by my son, and after saying no, and then the ideas flooded into my head. I realized if I was to ever sleep again I needed to put pen to paper and submit my designs! GoGoHares is a marvelous opportunity to put creative work out in the public, and hopefully encourage and unlock some creativity in others too’.

The GoGoHares trail brought to you by Norfolk children’s charity Break and Wild in Art, will go live on 24th June 2018 until 8th September 2018, with a parade of all the hares called Hare Today Gone Tomorrow at the Forum on 7 – 10 October and the auction on 11th October 2018.
