Haremit the first county hare is revealed

You may need an eye test to see how this Hare has transformed into a Hermit Crab!

This stunning transformation is the first of the15 county hare sculptures to be completed, and aptly launched at the Time and Tide museum, Great Yarmouth. The sculpture has been created by Ross White who previously designed the very popular Dragon Fly and EDP public winner from the last GoGo trail. ‘Haremit’ is equally spectacular and will look perfect located in Great Yarmouth on the county trail for 2018.

15 Moongazer style hare sculptures will be making their way in June 2018 to create a trail of their own across Norfolk, forming a trail across the county taking in UEA, Great Yarmouth, Dereham, Salhouse, Sprowston and Hemsby.

Coleman Opticians Hearing and Vision Centre, were the first to sponsor a county hare to support their new branch in Great Yarmouth. Kate Fenn, director, ‘We were involved in the GoGoDragons! 2015 trail sponsoring Snap Sprite, and found getting involved in such a popular event over the summer months really exciting, bringing fun and footfall to Norwich. With the addition of a county trail it will bring people to Great Yarmouth during the best months of the year, and we can’t wait to get involved and help raise money for Break charity along the way’.

Half of the county hares are sponsored but it is not too late to hop on board. If you are interested in supporting Break charity and sponsoring a county hare do contact the team via the website: gogohares.co.uk/contact.

Martin Green, ‘The county trail is a new element to the GoGo event for 2018 celebrating 50 years of Break, and one which we hope will encourage people to explore more of Norfolk’.

There will be 50 City sculptures that will form the city trail and there will also be an education programme called GoGoCreate, with a target of 150 local organisations including schools, nursery groups and clubs who will design and create their very own young hare or leveret.

Can you spot all the hares around the county of Norfolk in the summer of 2018?
