Activities based around The Broads on 24th June

On Sunday 24th June 50 large ears up hares arrive in the city of Norwich and by 10am all the sculptures should be located.

Similarly the county hares arrive in the morning at all of their various locations up and down the county in a variety of times before midday.

One of our hares has an extra special arrival on that morning and is being installed by boat at 12 noon at Salhouse Broad. There will be a whole host of activities at the Broad including free ferry trips to Hoveton Great Broad.

Just after that has happened there is a second wave of activities as you can read on the invitation below via a Facebook event at Woodforde's Brewery, including a reveal of their sculpture, meet the artist and theatre show itself at 2pm, ‘Journey to the Centre of the Earth’ – a family friendly outdoor theatre show with puppets, comedy and lots of adventure.

To round up the day you could visit two other local places where there is a sculpture on the trail which are Ranworth Broad visitors centre where you can enjoy some bird watching and Wroxham Barns were there is a whole host of activities for children based actives like feeding the animals as well as play options and independent shops.

Do save the date and make a day of it with the family.

The map will be available to see on the website by Monday 19th June and the trail map will be all around the county during that week too, from public pick up locations like libraries, tourist information and tourist attractions.

Can you spot all the hares around the county of Norfolk in the summer of 2018?
